Grisedale Cottage is a traditional 18th century Lakeland cottage which now provides charming and comfortable self catering holiday accommodation for up to five people.

Our holiday cottage is situated in a small community of cottages at Grisedale Bridge, midway between the villages of Glenridding and Patterdale. A lovely, quiet location at the heart of the Ullswater valley, with village shops, pubs, cafes, medical centre, local post office, garage and petrol station and an internet cafe all within walking distance.

This idyllic location in the Ullswater valley means that you can enjoy inspiring mountain views, glimpses of the lake and real peace and quiet.

From the cottage door you can walk, cycle or climb the surrounding majestic fells without moving your car ... Helvellyn, Fairfield, St Sunday Crag and the High Street range all offer a challenging day out and there are numerous valley and woodland walks as well as the lakeshore path along Ullswater. Or you can just relax in the garden or in the conservatory and enjoy the wonderful Lakeland scenery.
